Induction hobs are the 21st century cooking medium
(26/02/2009)
Induction hobs allow the pan to be heated using a magnetic field. Just the pan gets hot, not the glass surface, and therefore releases an impressive 90-95% of the energy used. Induction has a very rapid power increase, optimised temperatures and adjustment to within half a degree. Induction technology offers numerous advantages so beneficial for today’s consumer; safety, speed, precision, flexibility, economy, working comfort and ergonomic design with easy and rapid cleaning.
ATAG's latest technological innovations are to found on the latest induction hobs. “Induction is the 21st century cooking medium. It is fast, precise, controllable and above all very energy efficient,” says Graham Gleave, Business Development Manager. “ATAG offers cutting-edge solutions in stunning formats and our most innovative and unique combine gas and induction.”
The ATAG induction hob is the fastest way to cook using ingenious state-of-the-art electronic control that adds supreme functionality embedded in beautiful vitro-ceramic glass.
ATAG’s induction hobs offer a variety of powerful features including:
•Touch control with digital display.
•Four or five induction zones, 2.80kW and 3.20kW, each with residual heat indicators
•12 power levels per zone and each zone with boost setting.
•Automatic Easy Cook simply remembers the cooking time and setting of your favourite dishes for next time. The hob is on for a pre-set time and then automatically switches off and signals via a bleep it has finished
•Programmable auto-cook on all zones for pre-setting a cooking time and automatic switch off
•Synchro-start –automatically turns on an ATAG hood when hob is switched on
•Pause function on all zones; ideal for putting cooking on hold while answering the telephone or the door
•Programmable timer and independent minute minder.
•Child safety lock
•Variety of shapes, sizes and framed or frameless designs
•Free set of compatible stainless steel pans supplied
Graham continues: “Induction is rapidly becoming more accepted as the technology becomes more widely available. The concept, however, is both revolutionary and profitable. Even though the initial outlay for the hob may be costly it is a very good long-term investment. It generates savings because it heats the pan directly (not the glass surface) and therefore consumes less energy making it very environmentally friendly. And with ATAG there is no need to worry about sorting out a set of pans, ATAG provides a stainless steel set free of charge with every induction hob*.”
ATAG offer a range of designs including the latest frameless styling for seamless integration into granite or stone worktops to create the perfect ‘edge’ in the contemporary home. Or there is the company’s hand finished MAGNA Design Line range, in sizes from 600mm to 1100m, in various shapes from squares to the latest ergonomic excellence delivered by the ATAG Panorama induction hob, certainly the shape of the future.
