Pyrolytic cleaning eliminates the chore of manual oven cleaning
(20/04/2009)
Pyrolytic cleaning saves elbow grease and the use of expensive cleaning chemicals. Valuable time is saved and the modest costs can be clearly seen in the spectacular results. Running the pyrolytic cleaning cycle costs around 25p, which is great value when compared to the cost of cleaning products and time saved. This can amount to even less if operated on the oven’s delayed start and run using off-peak electricity.
Pyrolytic cleaning has been around in Europe for many years however it is only recently that UK consumers are beginning to appreciate that it is the only true oven cleaning system that adds tremendous benefits in the running of a busy home.
The labour-saving technology, which eliminates the hated chore of manual oven cleaning at the touch of a button, is a wonderful benefit for the consumer.
ATAG’s top end ovens combine the very best in cooking and pyrolytic technology to make the aftermath of meals as easy as the preparation. The highest standard of quality is maintained throughout the ovens, offering a range of genuine purchasing criteria for consumers who are looking to trade up.
The self-cleaning facility can often be the deciding factor at the point of sale for consumers who can’t decide which model to opt for. Catalytic liners that coat the inside of the oven are the choice of many, but the more sophisticated pyrolytic programmes featured on ATAG ovens are what consumers ‘in the know’ aspire to.
This is where a special programme is activated to generate extremely high temperatures inside the oven cavity, of up to 500°C, to burn off fat and grease, reducing it to ash. The ash is then simply wiped away. The drop down oven door is automatically locked during the process, and is quadruple glazed and ventilated, and so remains cool throughout cleaning.
ATAG’s ZX6092Q Multi-System Turbo Oven, styled in Graphite Black is designed to make life easy for amateur and professional cooks alike. The robust model houses a wealth of meaningful features within its tough frame as well as two pyrolytic cleaning functions, Eco and Normal, for maximum cleaning and maintenance.
The 600mm pyrolytic ZX6092Q oven is ‘A’ rated for energy and offers a generous capacity of 59 litres. The nine main oven functions include turbo hot air, top and bottom heat, turbo grill, maxi grill, keep-warm function and defrost. A clear dot-matrix display, with both text and graphics, takes you through the programming process. The Easy Cook automatic programs cater for almost all common recipe types, at the push of a single button. Sensors calculate exactly the right temperature and cooking time – and even recommend the correct position in the oven.
There are 50 semi-automatic programs for specific dishes, based on weight rather than using the sensors. And, if you wish, you can programme the oven yourself with your very own favourite dishes using the Chef function.
ATAG’s National Sales Manager, Graham Gleave says: “We believe that our Multi-System Turbo oven and its sister models in the range incorporate all the necessities of cooking – and the pyrolytic cleaning functions are the icing on the cake. Pyrolytic oven cleaning is a very powerful feature and it is a tangible benefit with results that are clear to see. Labour saving devices on appliances have never been as important as they are today with our busy lifestyles. Even in such tough times as these, consumers are looking for quality appliances and quality features that will save them time, money and hassle over the long-term.
“Pyrolytic cleaning doesn’t lie, and consumers can see the results with their own eyes. We recommend that consumers seek out models with this feature and take the time to explore the benefits this amazing cleaning system offers.”
