Whirlpool’s latest Fusion and Glamour built-in single oven collections are packed with high-tech features that will make cooking enjoyable for even the most reluctant cooks.

The new built-in ovens showcase the very latest in kitchen design trends. Models in the four-strong Fusion collection combine stainless steel and glass with an integrated handle to provide a streamlined effect. Whilst the AKZM 693 Glamour oven features a sleek full glass door with a touch control user interface that oozes sophistication and allows you to keep a close eye on your culinary delights.

Built-in ovens in the Fusion (selected models) and Glamour ranges incorporate Whirlpool’s unique 6th Sense technology to provide perfect cooking results with minimum fuss. Sensors are used to detect the weight of the food that is being cooked, as well as the precise temperature in the oven. The 6th Sense technology then adapts the cooking time and controls the cooking process as required, providing regular progress updates. The ovens also feature a 6th Sense Menu with 30 pre-programmed recipes which enable you to cook a variety of dishes from lasagnes to roast chicken perfectly. Just select the recipe and the oven does the rest.

Models in the Fusion and Glamour collections also include a host of other beneficial features:
• Multi-function cooking: This function enables you to cook different food types to perfection by offering a wide variety of cooking methods
• A Energy Class: All of the ovens in the Fusion and Glamour collections are super insulated in order to retain heat, save energy and reduce the cooking times
• 67 litres capacity: Extra large capacity adds to the overall cooking experience, meaning that you can easily cater for larger dinner parties
• Ready2cook: The oven reaches the set temperature in seconds due to a new improved convection system, which means that you can start cooking immediately
• Cook3: There are five shelf positions to accommodate three cooking levels. The heat distribution system and larger cavity means three level cooking can be accommodated without mixing odours, so you can be baking a fish pie at the same time as cooking an apple tart without any unpalatable outcomes
• Pyrolitic cleaning: The AKZM 657 Fusion and AKZM 693 Glamour models have the added benefit of pyrolitic cleaning. During the self-cleaning cycle the inside of the oven reaches extreme high temperatures that burn residues to ashes, which can then be wiped away easily with a sponge. A cooling fan draws away emissions to minimise smoke and fumes. Other models in the collection feature easy wipe enamel that keeps cleaning effort to minimum

Ray Isted, Head of Training, Whirlpool UK said: “The popularity of built-in cooking continues to grow as people opt for a modern, sophisticated finish throughout the kitchen. However, they are not prepared to forfeit function over design. With Whirlpool’s latest Fusion and Glamour built-in ovens nothing is compromised and people can enjoy an enhanced cooking experience that looks exceptional.”
