A big, American-style side-by-side refrigerator is a truly iconic product and the show-stopping centrepiece of the contemporary kitchen.

The new ATAG range comprises of the KA2111DQ and KA2111DL in stainless steel and the KA2192DL in graphite black. Options include an ice maker and mini bar, while standard functions embrace Fast Freeze, Fast Cooling and No-Frost technology. The ice maker functions fully automatically and its design means that taller glasses can fit under the dispenser and be filled directly with ice cubes, shaved ice or fresh cool water.

The mini bar gives users direct access to a cool drink without having to open the door of the fridge. The neatly integrated door and can be easily opened by means of a push/pull fixture.

Yet it is the impressive storage capacity of these models that immediately catches the eye. Despite their size and bulk, they feature attractive and contemporary styling as well as excellent economic credentials; the most luxurious model in the range, the KA2111DQ boasts an ‘A+’ energy rating controlled and accurately monitored via the refrigerator’s six sensors.

ATAG refrigerators are equipped with the company’s Twin Cooling System, which chills the food in the fridge and the freezer separately. Cool air is also circulated for each compartment for very even temperature distribution and moisture content, enabling you to keep your fresh food even longer, preserving nutritional value and taste.

Choosing the KA2111DQ with the versatile Cool Select refrigeration drawer will give you the option of setting this separate zone to a different temperature from the major refrigeration section. In simple terms, it’s a refrigerator within a refrigerator. Set at zero degrees, for example, the Cool Select drawer will keep produce fresher for longer. Additionally, there are Quick Cool, Soft Freeze and Defrost options. The clever Soft Freeze programme operates at -5° C and freezes food in such a way that only the moisture in the food itself is frozen. For lovers of sushi and Carpaccio, this is the ideal setting to use for slicing slender slithers of meat and fish.

Graham Gleave, ATAG’s National Sales Manager says: “New and replacement buyers can take a pride in the streamlined design of these models. Great attention is paid to the smallest design detail. The substantial doors run in one smooth line up to the top of the appliance and are styled with sleek stainless steel handles.

“These are true quality refrigerators that that meet the cooling needs of the most discerning consumer with the benefit of top energy ratings.”
