The days of having to take time off work to hang around the house endlessly while waiting for an engineer, will soon be a thing of the past. Indesit Company has launched a new electronic appointment card system, to help remind customers about their engineer appointment, conveniently and easily in advance via email.

The email service is the first of its kind to be offered in the UK and has been developed in conjunction with the company’s new text message appointment scheme, released in spring this year. Customers will receive an email confirming the details of the engineer visit on the day the call is booked as well as receiving a text message on the morning of their appointment, informing them of the two-hour time slot in which the engineer will arrive.

The appointment email will also provide links to The Companys Service Websites where customers can find useful non-technical information about products and frequently asked questions relating to common problems with their white goods. The website also has an online shopping section were customers can access a Professional Home Care range of cleaning products and accessories online.

Franco Secchi, Service Director at Indesit Company, comments, “These new initiatives show our ongoing commitment to providing useful and technologically-advanced customer services, that really do make Hotpoint, Indesit or Cannon’s customers lives easier. We are looking at rolling out these new schemes in the near future and are currently looking into developing a new Customer Relationship Management System that will allow us to interact with our customers further.”

Indesit Company has been developing IT systems and communications technology for over 15 years and the Intelligent SMS Service is the latest of many innovative initiatives to be delivered. With more than 6000 engineer visits made every day, the project requires close co-ordination between IT, Customer Service, and the after sales repair division.
