LG Steam Direct Drive 11kg Washer with allergy care settings

LG Electronics (LG) has announced the LG Steam Direct Drive 11kg Washer, which offers several new functions including; steam, a mode only previously available on LG’s 8kg and 9kg models, has allergy care settings and new motions during the wash - all achieving an even cleaner wash than ever.

If a crisp new shirt is needed with little time to spare, the steam refresh setting on this new LG Steam Direct Drive Washer will take a mere twenty minutes to eliminate creases and unwanted odours. In addition to providing handy settings like this, the steam used during washes will save up to 29 per cent of water and 21 per cent of energy compared to a conventional 8kg washing machine, making it one of the most efficient options. Over the course of one year that translates to savings of one month’s water and energy bill, meaning there is more money left over for the fun things in life.

As the big spring clean approaches so does the uncontrollable desire to sneeze as the dust begins to fly through the air. This clever Steam Direct Driver Washer will help to eliminate that itchy feeling with ‘Allergy Care’ proven to remove common household allergens. Hthe technology inside the 11kg Steam Direct Drive washer works:

• Steam – the dual spray system simultaneously releases steam and water into the drum improving heating efficiency and time reducing energy and water usage

• 11kg capacity – this is the largest ever washer in a standard sized machine. Because the drum and inner tub are fixed to the frame of the washing machine, more of the space inside the cabinet can be used to give more room inside the drum with the same sized footprint. Now users can wash more, less often

• Direct drive – this is a unique magnet system rotates the drum; the motor has no brush which is why it is super quiet and no belt or pulley which enhances durability. This super motor is then joined directly to the drum without additional parts, creating a perfectly balanced unit

• New damping system – the new 11kg models balance and control the vibration coming from the inner drum using a dual ball balancer (see more information on the next point) and a new damping system which controls movements and sound making for a much quieter wash
